Christine Santacroce is the Senior Managing Partner of Virago Search, bringing decades of progressive experience in talent acquisition, executive search, and strategic partnership building.
Founding Virago Search was more than a business decision — it was a calling. Driven by a deep belief in the power of small and midsize businesses, Christine launched Virago to shift the spotlight back to the true backbone of our economy: Main Street. She believes that real growth starts from the ground up — and that investing in regional businesses means investing in the future we all share.
Christine’s passion for community leadership extends far beyond her work at Virago. She serves as a City Commissioner for Middletown Pride, leads as a varsity basketball coach, volunteers as a PTA parent, and mentors emerging professionals. In every role, she champions growth, inclusion, and opportunity — believing that when we invest in people, we build stronger, more resilient communities for all.
Kay Abreu
Chief of Operations
Kay is an accomplished operations strategist, business builder, and community advocate with over 16 years of experience leading recruitment excellence across diverse industries.
A founder of Virago Search, Kay brings a rare blend of strategic precision and heartfelt purpose to her work. After years of supporting Fortune 500 companies and global organizations, she pivoted her focus toward what matters most to her — strengthening the small and midsize businesses that power our Main Streets. She believes the true pulse of our economy beats within these businesses, and she’s dedicated her career to delivering high-integrity, high-touch talent solutions that help them thrive.
Her passion for connection extends far beyond the workplace. Kay serves on the Parent-Teacher Association at her son’s school, working to foster stronger partnerships between families, faculty, and the young leaders they are shaping. She also serves with FSCGO, a nonprofit committed to preserving culture, promoting inclusion, and empowering communities through education and celebration of Dominican and global heritage.
